Love That Washi Tape!!!

I am loving that Washi Tape!  It makes cards a snap!  Here's a quick thank you card with Stampin' Up's Gingham Garden tape.  So simple and sweet!  This design would also make a cute birthday cake or Christmas tree with different sizes of tape in a stack.  I'll have to try that!

Found this idea at The Paper Crown - my favorite scrapbook store in Oklahoma City.  I visit their beautiful shop anytime I go to see my mom in OKC.  They have great classes and events so check them out by Googling "Paper Crown Blog".  I can't get the link to work here???
These frames were made by wrapping washi tape around a cardboard frame cut from the backing page in the Stampin' Up Designer Paper packs.  Of course the subject matter is my favorite part with grandson and niece adding their own cuteness to the project!

Had a great evening with 7 sweet ladies last Friday for a card/craft workshop.  We made the Washi (do you capitalize it?) tape frames, some Post-It Note holders, and a birthday card.  The Post-It holders are my favorite so I'll get info on those to you next.

On a personal level, my husband and I took a drive to discover more of The Delta last Saturday.  They have begun harvesting corn in Mississippi - the farmland is beautiful even when the crops are brown!

Please take a second to "Follow Me" or subscribe by email so you can stay up with the latest posts.  Feel free to share with your friends or on Facebook if you like what you see.  I am new at this so don't know if anyone see's it!  Would love your feedback!

Christmas is coming and I can't wait to get started designing cards!!!  Stay cool!

Wrap up summer with a fun mini album using Stampin' Up's Etcetera Designer Series Paper and a few embellishments from Little Yellow Bicycle.  I used a canvas mini album from Michael's to design this fun album to highlight a fabulous summer!  I have 5 kits left which include everything but your pictures and adhesives.  Kits are $20 which includes postage.  Order your kit at lyndafalconer57@gmail.com  or call me at
662-820-1135.  Feel free to use my design for
yourself, I just ask that you not sell it.

All materials in album are Stampin' Up unless otherwise indicated.

Besides Etcetera papers, page 1 includes a strip of Gingham Garden Washi Tape on the top and canvas adhesive words from Little Yellow Bicycle.  I suggest you adhere the picture before adding the embellishments.

The album is designed for 3 x 5 inch pictures but you could crop some 4 x 6 pics to fit.

SU Scrap Camp Projects

As promised, here are the make and takes we did at Scrap Diva Day Camp, besides the mini album.  In keeping with the nature theme of camp, the nesting cards were altered from a design in a SU catalog.  I liked the crispness of the white background but most campers preferred the crumb cake version with the inked edges!   The nest is made of brown shredded paper for gift wrapping.
Of course you've got to have clothespins at camp!  So our version was very simple - using Gingham Garden Washi tape to cover one side of the clothespin and a magnetic strip on the other side.  It will hold a piece of paper on the fridge but will need stronger magnets to do anything heavier.  Does anyone know of a strong stick-on magnetic strip?  These were the standard strips you get at Michael's.

The third project was to introduce the new Tag It Accessory Kit.  We used the butterfly punches and framelit die and sentiment stamps to make these darling tags.  I think one of them is from the picture in the catalog.  Clear buttons tied with white baker's twine top the butterflies.  So easy!
I'll post the Summer Fun full mini album tomorrow.

I'm struggling with pictures in Blogger.  For example, I can't delete this duplicate.  When I click it I get the dots on the corners but not the pop up tool bar that lets me change the size or remove it.  I also can't get it to let me put to pics side by side.  Not sure where I can adjust the layout format to do that.  Any suggestions?  Anyone?  Anyone??  LOL

Thank you to all the fabulous Divas who scrapped the day away at Scrap Diva Day Camp July 27th!  It was so much fun to go back to camp, Diva style, with s'mores, burgers on the grill, tents full of chocolate, goodie bags (with crowns of course), bandanas, camp awards - you get the picture!  A few mosquitos sneaked into the campsite while we cooked s'mores on the grill, but other than that, we didn't feel like we missed out on smelly latrines, bugs, or snakes!  I did however see a snake wrapped around a branch in our tree out the bathroom window today.  But that's as close as I will have to get to him!

I didn't get too many great pics but know our camp photographer, Natalie, will come through for us!  Here are a few of my shots but I'll share what Natalie sends later.  I 'd be happy to share the ballots for awards and the scavenger hunt but don't know how to blog a word document.  If you subscribe to my blog then email me at lyndafalconer57@gmail.com and I'll send you a copy.  Just tell me which ones you want.

I can't get the blog to let me change sizes on any of the pics so it won't be pretty but the fabulous ladies IN the pics are beautiful!!!  Will post projects another day when I have better luck!

Our big camp project was a Summer Fun mini album made with Stampin Up's Etcetera Designer Series Paper.  I may have a few kits for sale once I get more canvas albums.  Just email me at lyndafalconer57@gmail.com if you're interested and I'll get back to you.  Kits will be $20 plus postage.  It will come with colored pics of every page and all the materials you need to complete it.  Most pieces are already cut out so it's quick to put together.  The cover is the most intricate page.  You're welcome to copy it but  don't sell it or take credit for the design please.  Here's the cover.  I'll   I'll post the rest later this week so be sure to check back.  Stay cool - literally!
